Features works by many of Alabama's renowned "outsider artists" displayed in an exclusive exhibition the Birmingham Museum of Art organized for The Year of Alabama Arts, curated by Gail Andrews and Emily Hanna. The show is housed in the historic Young & Vann Building in downtown Birmingham at the corner of First Avenue North and 18th Street.
Artists include: Jerry Brown, Chris Clark, Thornton Dial, Nora Ezell, Howard Finster, Sibyl Gibson, Allen Ham, Kubar Holley, Lonnie Holley, Ronald Lockett, Annie Lucas, Charlie Lucas, Eric Miller, Gertrude Morgan, Lucreca Outland, B.F. Perkins, Juanita Rogers, Bernice Sims, Jimmy Lee Sudduth, Mose Toliver, Bill Traylor, Fred Webster, Yvonne Wells, Myrtice West and Mary Whitfield. |
